Testimonials and Case Studies
Tracey combines strong analytics which enables her to diagnose issues quickly with a can-do approach which gets things done and creates positive momentum.
These skills are supported by her emotional intelligence which gives her very good empathy with staff and the leadership team over a short period of time. It is the combination of her ability to understand people, pick up issues quickly, set an agenda and make things happen which impresses.
I found her ability to team, communicate well and address the hard issues very effective. She added a lot of value in the time with the organisation as Interim CEO and did a great job in laying stronger foundations for a permanent CEO.
Mark Spelman, Chair of Trustees, Leap Confronting Conflict
Tracey is a person of the highest integrity. Her ethical values are impeccable. She was meticulous in carrying out a wide range of duties, from complex financial controls to managing a mix of salaried and voluntary staff, across a number of disciplines. An important part of her role was to build upon an established successful relationship with the local community, encouraging them to recognise the value of the Centre and take up the many educational and leisure opportunities it offered. I would single out the particular support which she gave to the local women’s community, many of whom would otherwise lead isolated lives without much social interaction.
Tracey also had to maintain a good relationship with benefactors and donors as well as the local authority, since the charity was heavily dependent upon their good will to sustain its work.
In all her relationships she demonstrated a depth of human understanding, sympathy and good humour. She was well liked and respected by all the Trustees who were members of the Board in my time as chair.
Derek Wood CBE KC, former Chair of the Attlee Foundation.

Monica Tyler CEO, Vauxhall City Farm
I engaged Tracey to be Interim CEO at Chance UK during a planned short-term absence of the substantive postholder.
Tracey proved to be an excellent appointment. She managed the handover extremely well at the beginning of the appointment and quickly got up to speed making a big effort to engage with staff members, trustees and key stakeholders.
Her start coincided with the first Covid-19 lockdown and she lead the organisation with skill and resilience during a period of high risk and significant uncertainty.
The organisation dealt with the challenges extremely well and ended the year in good shape and Tracey laid very good foundations for this outcome.
As Chair I found Tracey to be a pleasure to work with - reliable, skilled, open and trusted colleague and I would thoroughly recommend her for charity interim CEO roles.
Hugh Thornbery CBE, former Chair, Chance UK
